Santa Monica Pier – Jack and Lexi B’nai Mitzvah – Full Length Short Film

We recently shared the trailer for Jack and Lexi’s B’nai Mitzvah, and now comes the really fun part. This event was such a blast to capture and the family allowed us to be as creative as we wanted to. They all helped in seeing our vision and truly understood that we were trying to make something special for them. Even though a synagogue and an amusement park have no similarities whatsoever, we were able to tell a story that included them both simultaneously throughout the entire short film. Having full access to Pacific Park at the Santa Monica Pier was very inspiring and we wanted to share the fun and happiness that happened that evening. We are very thankful to Jeff and Shay from Brown Hot Events who recommended us to the family. Whenever we work with Brown Hot, we know that there will not be any surprises and everything will be taken care of. This was a very well thought out event and we appreciate being a part of it. We have an incredible team here at custom | made and could not have done it without them. We hope you enjoy the short film of Jack and Lexi’s B’nai Mitzvah.

Santa Monica Pier – Jack and Lexi B’nai Mitzvah Trailer

It’s not too often that Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier gets closed down for a private event on a Saturday night. That is precisely what happened for Jack and Lexi’s B’nai Mitzvah. For us as event filmmakers, having the Pacific Park closed to an event we are capturing is like a kid in a candy store. There were so many beautiful shots that we had planned to capture and found ourselves being very inspired. None of this would have been possible without the amazing talents of Jeff and and Shay from Brown Hot Events. They were so kind in asking us to capture this amazing event. Thank you so very much to Jack and Lexi’s family who allowed us to use our own creativity to create the best possible short film. Below is just a short trailer of what is to come in the short film.

Lake Como, Italy – Kelly ~ Andrew Wedding Short Film

We always consider ourselves very lucky whenever we are asked to travel half way around the world to capture a wedding. This time we had the pleasure of traveling to Lake Como, Italy. I personally have seen a lot of Italy but to see Lake Como is something truly special. I had never met Kelly and Andrew before flying to Italy but from our conversations, I knew their personalities would lend well to a great story. They told me that they had been to Lake Como on a vacation, and it was there that they first feel in love. During our conversation, Kelly mentioned that while they were in Lake Como, they experienced a huge thunderstorm and wanted their family and friends to experience the same. As luck would have it, about an hour before their rehearsal dinner, massive thunder clouds rolled in and I knew it was a great opportunity for them to share the storm with not only their family and friends who were there, but with everyone back home as well. The rest of the story just tells itself.

Thank you so much has to go to Nicole Goddard from Nicole Goddard Photography who was kind enough to get us in touch. Also, a big thank you to to Frank who worked in putting together such a great story. It was an amazing experience that I will soon not forget, and I hope you enjoy the wedding short film of Kelly ~ Andrew.

Kelly (bride) - Ari! We are IN LOVE with our short film! We just sat down on Christmas day with my 97 year old grandmother who experienced our wedding day as we did in Lake Como. Tears flowed from her eyes as she watched the highlights of our ceremony…with your stunning shots, she was able to see EVERYTHING (and she has terrible eyesight:). Thank you for creating a memory that we can share with our friends and family that could not be with us, and to remember our special day for years to come. You are a soulful artist that captured everything about our wedding, Lake Como, Varenna and our guests as we have imagined in our head. Grazie a Mille! –Andrew and Kelly

Palm Springs, CA – Westin Mission Hills – Allison ~ Tony Wedding Photograph

Whenever we have the opportunity to go out of LA and capture an event we get excited. We have traveled the world to witness and capture such amazing moments in peoples lives and it’s always a little more exciting to see a new location. Even though Palm Springs and The Westin Mission Hills Hotel  is only 2 hours away from LA, it still felt like a destination wedding. We spent the weekend with Allison and Tony and our team had an amazing time capturing both motion and stills for their wedding. Since we were in the desert, we wanted to use the colors in the photographs that would emulate the colors of the desert. You will notice that with the pictures below, the color themes we created use oranges and beige tones, and we think it worked really well with the moments we captured. We certainly could not have done this without the help from Sarajane and her team at SJL Events, and appreciate everything they did for us. Also, the team here at custom | made is second to none. I definitely could not have done it without the all-star team. Finally, a thank you must go out to Allison, Tony, and their families, who we enjoyed getting to know. Below is a sneak peek of the wedding of Allison ~ Tony.

Samantha Zeiters - Congratulations you two! it is so beautiful!

Caitlin - you look so gorgeous!! congratulations!

Ashley Thomas Uchtman - So gorgeous!!! The one of your hubs with tears in his eyes is so amazing! :) xoxox

Kara Fitzgerald - Pics are AMAZING!!! xoxo

California Club, Los Angeles – Caroline ~ John Paul Wedding Short Film

I have always enjoyed learning about new cultures. I never knew that capturing weddings would allow me to learn so much without actually leaving the country. I believe it is important for all of us to experience different cultures, and that is why traveling the world is so important and is great education. That being said, getting the opportunity to experience a tradition Coptic wedding ceremony was very unique. It certainly had it’s challenges since we never actually captured a wedding such as this, but the story really came together. The message in the ceremony was interesting to edit together but with our amazing team of event filmmakers, we were able to capture the moments and edit them in a way that anyone can experience and understand. Thanks so much to Caroline and John Paul for trusting in us to capture such an important day in their lives. We hope you enjoy the wedding short film of Caroline ~ John Paul.

You made a piece of living art that truly moved us, and we cannot thank you enough.

Best regards,
